Zinfandel is a uniquely American grape, often associated with White Zinfandel, because it was plentiful and grew well in California. However, Zinfandel makes a great full bodied red wine like this one. This has notes of plums and blackberries and when you drink it you taste the delicious fruit which is balanced out by hearty spiciness including a peppery finish.
